|
|
| I just started using GeSWall after having used Sandboxie for a while. Overall I really like GeSWall however I do have some issues with Firefox crashing on certain sites. It happens every time on Youtube with Firefox isolated by GeSWall but when I run Firefox unisolated then Youtube works fine. Is there a setting I am overlooking or is this a known issue? Also Photobucket and Yahoo crash when I try to log in. When I go to one of these problem sites it sits trying to load and never does. The only way I can stop it is to do ctrl-alt-del and end Firefox. In task manager it says Firefox is not responding. GeSWall would be perfect if I could stop the Firefox crashes. |

I found a solution and decided to post it here in case anyone had the same problem. This is copy and pasted from another source and fixed the problem.
1) Open the Geswall console.
2) Under Applications -> Web Browsers -> Mozilla Firefox
-"Add rules" of type "File" and use setting "allow" for the following:
A) \Device\NamedPipe\chrome
B) \Device\NamedPipe\gecko-crash-server-pipe |
